Election of officers to serve one-year terms was held at the first meeting of the Board of Directors with the following results:                   

President-Elect

Treasurer    Timothy C. Evans, MD, FACEP
Secretary    Sabina A. Braithwaite, MD, FACEP

Pamela A. Ross, MD, FACEP assumed the position of President, and, Mark D. Tripp, MD, FACEP (Roanoke) replaces Andrew B. Cole, MD, FACEP (Norfolk) as the Immediate Past President.

The following individuals were elected to represent VACEP at the Council of the national ACEP organization:

Two-year term

Pamela A. Ross, MD, FACEP Palmyra

Two-year term

James R. Dudley, MD, MBA Gloucester

One-year term

Stuart E. Brown, III, MD, FACEP and Kelly Anne Foley, MD, FACEP were elected to serve one-year terms as Alternate Councillors. Members currently serving a two-year term as Councillor, expiring in 2003, are Timothy C. Evans, MD, FACEP; and Mark D. Tripp, MD, FACEP.

The above elections took place at the VACEP Annual Membership Meeting held February 13, 2002 at The Homestead, Hot Springs, VA. The College is the specialty medical society for Emergency Physicians in the Commonwealth with a current membership of 470+.
