Meet VACEP’s Government Relations Team
Happy New Year! We hope that everyone had a restful and happy holiday season and are excited about the upcoming legislative session. We are very excited to be your government relations team!
We wanted to take this opportunity to reintroduce ourselves to the VaCEP membership:
Aimee Perron Seibert is Senior Vice President of HF Consulting LLC. Aimee brings years of experience in the non-profit and advocacy arena to HF Consulting LLC. Aimee has built very successful coalitions with significant contacts in the non-profit sector. Aimee worked for Senator John Watkins (R-Chesterfield) from 2001-2002 and was the former legislative director at the American Civil Liberties Union of Virginia. Aimee completed her B.A. magna cum laude from Boston College and holds a Master’s degree in Social Work-Policy, Planning and Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. Aimee is also a 2004 graduate of the Sorenson Institute for Political Leadership at the University of Virginia and was named one of Richmond Style Weekly’s “Top 40 Under 40” in 2005.
Seth Ginther is a lawyer who leads the HF Consulting government affairs practice group. He has been with Hirschler Fleischer since graduating from law school, with one tour of public service. In 2003 he was appointed Senior Assistant Attorney General and Chief of Commerce & Financial Law by the Attorney General Kilgore, a position he held until December 2005. Seth received a B.A. from Virginia Tech in political science and a J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law.
Marshall Cook has been involved with the Virginia General Assembly since the early 1980’s. From 1990-1993, he served as Deputy Attorney General of Virginia and lobbied the General Assembly for the Attorney General’s legislative proposals. He has represented the interests of health care providers exclusively since 1993, and today, he heads the health law practice at Hirschler Fleischer, an 85-attorney law firm with offices in Richmond and Fredericksburg. His peers named Marshall among “Virginia’s Legal Elite” in health law beginning in the December 2003 issue of Virginia Business magazine and every year since. He also has been named among Virginia “Super Lawyers” in health law every year since 2004. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Richmond, he received his law degree from Richmond’s T.C. Williams School of Law, where he was a Williams Law Scholar.
HF Consulting is looking forward to serving as the eyes and ears of VaCEP in the General Assembly, and providing representation on issues of concern to you, your practice and your patients. But remember, we can’t do it alone! Please stay involved, call and email your legislators when we need you and plan on coming to the General Assembly to testify and visit your legislators in person. You are the experts on your practice and we need your help!
