“It is an honor to be nominated to serve as a Councillor for VACEP and represent my colleagues in Emergency Medicine in this capacity.

The key role of the Council is to analyze and discuss issues impacting the practice of Emergency Medicine from the national perspective, wherein your Councillors represent the special needs of Virginia in that forum.  Globally, issues involving reimbursement, tort reform, crowding, and patient access, impact Emergency Medicine and Emergency Physicians.  I believe many of the solutions to these problems will require federal intervention. Therefore it is important for VACEP to work closely with national ACEP and other organizations that share an interest in these issues. I look forward to continuing this service. I bring a broad perspective, reflective of my varied experiences and training, and a willingness to work hard to achieve the goals of the College and I thank you all for the opportunity to continue my service in the capacity of Councillor.”
