2009 Annual Meeting

VACEP’s 2009 Annual Membership Meeting was held February 12th at The Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia. We were honored to have ACEP President Nick Jouriles as our special guest! Nick gave us updates on key ACEP activities and accomplishments, as well as outlined the breadth of work and advocacy that is planned and underway. We are fortunate to have leaders of Nick's calibre at the helm of national ACEP!

This business meeting was held in conjunction with our winter Hot Topics conference, an exceptional CME program. Special thanks to Dr. Tamera Barnes for pulling together such a terrifically talented and well-known faculty; the presentations were outstanding!

For your review, our College's Annual Report of 2008 Activity is posted here.

If you’ve never attended a membership meeting, I urge you to join us next year! You will be proud to be a member of our community of empowered emergency physicians and this incredible organization that works tirelessly on your behalf. Details on that meeting will be provided as soon as possible for your advance planning.

Join me in congratulating Michael J. Bono, MD, FACEP, our 2009 Recipient of the Heatwole Career Achievement Award. Dr. Bono was honored for his contributions to VACEP and our specialty.
